Derek Maddox began his cooking career at only 14, using his family's microwave for frozen taquitos, pizza rolls, and more. In his early twenties, he embraced microwaved culinary excellency, using his microwave to create flavorful masterpieces from the likes of steak, BBQ meats, and accompanying side pieces. He has won several gold ribbons in microwave cooking championships, and runs his own Bridgestone-starred restaurant in Memphis, Indiana, Duke of Nuke.
